Each October, the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS) joins the nation in celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). This annual observance honors the many contributions of workers with disabilities while also recognizing the vital role employers play in building inclusive workplaces.

At MDRS, we partner with Mississippi businesses to connect skilled individuals with disabilities to meaningful employment, supporting both career success and employer growth.

This October, we encourage all Mississippians—employers, community leaders, and job seekers alike—to join us in advancing workplace inclusion and celebrating the skills and dedication of individuals with disabilities across our state.

Success Stories Across Mississippi

As part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, MDRS is proud to share success stories from across our 10 districts. Each story highlights the partnership between a Mississippi business and an employee with a disability—showcasing the talent, dedication, and value that inclusive employment brings to the workplace.
