Statewide Independent Living Council - Public Hearing

The Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) in collaboration with LIFE and MDRS is charged with developing and maintaining the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL). The SPIL outlines their plans for the provision of independent living services to individuals with disabilities in Mississippi.

We are inviting fellow Mississippians, especially persons with disabilities, to our State Plan Public Hearing to be held on June 25th at 10:00am.

The current Draft State Plan can be found on the link below. The plan will be submitted to Administration on Community Living (ACL) by June 30th, 2024. Interested citizens may provide public comment and feedback on the draft SPIL to Anita Naik at 601-853-5230 or via email at Anaik@mdrs.ms.gov
