The Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services have joined together to urge teens to make good choices this PROM season (Don’t text and drive, don’t drink and drive and DO buckle up). Awareness posters will be placed in participating schools around the state running from March to April. Other efforts are also being made to engage and educate Mississippians via social media (@DeptOfRehab @MSHwyPatrol).
MHP, MDRS, MDRS Client Richard Stafford – along with his Personal Care Attendant Kerry Nelson (also his pastor) and his mom will be speaking to schools around the state about the campaign.
If you are interested in posters for your school, please contact the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services -- Office of Communications at 1.800.443.1000
